Swell Reptiles Frog Adult Starter Kit

This Adult Frog kit includes an Exo Terra 60 x 45 x 45cm glass terrarium, with a low level UVB kit, the Arcadia ShadeDweller. This provides the smaller levels of UVB that the frogs will thrive from, whilst coming as an easy-to-use plug and play system that can be placed on top of the terrarium mesh. There is an adjustable stand, bulb holder and heat bulb, which is controlled with a dimming thermostat, so you can be sure that the temperature is exactly what you require for your species of frog. As frogs only require a small amount of additional heat, we have only included a low wattage bulb, which can be dimmed down. There is a digital thermometer to monitor these temperatures and ensure this is all correct. We have included a spray bottle for maintaining the humidity, as well as easy to use hygrometer to monitor the humidity levels within the tank. For substrate we have packed a coco brick, which just needs to be soaked in water to expand and provide fresh coco soil for the enclosure, as well as Hydro Rocks and Hydro Matting, meaning you can easily set up a reservoir system underneath the soil. This reservoir is ideal for maintaining humidity levels, as the water stored here is soaked back into the soil, keeping it moist and therefore raising the humidity. This is also really important if you are using live plants, as they need this water supply, and it is easy to just top up the water to ensure the rocks at the bottom are submerged. The live plants themselves also contribute towards the humidity levels, meaning you are less likely to have highs and lows of humidity, when you spray for example, but a more stable long term humidity range throughout the day. There is a couple of plants and a branch, as well as some live moss, though the decor is really down to personal taste, and more will be required, especially to allow your frogs to use all the space within the terrarium, so why not see what other reptile decorations we offer. We include a tub of pure Calcium Dust and a specialist frog Vitamin A, though you will also need a good multivitamin, as well as disinfectant, to ensure your frogs are in the best of health at all times.
